We just finished up three days of shooting cat skiing at Island Lake Lodge here in Fernie for the first anual Photography Shootout. Six photographers with three athletes each for three days. My athletes were Jay Bourne, Ryland Nelson and Derek Bird. Prizes were given out each day for best action photo, best scnenic or abstract photo and best athlete performance. Also at the end of the three days was best overall portfolio of the three days and best overall athlete team. A bit frustrating for me using an unfamiliar camera I had borrowed but was happy to still be a part of the contest.
