After a busy few weeks out on the coast I'm back in Fernie for the Spring. The festival was big and busy as ever and it's been nice to move back into Fernies easy pace. On the way home just before sunset after days on days of snapping pictures of action/bands etc. I took a few scenic and landscape shots. A totally different form of visual creativity. These in particular worked out well. It was just before the sun ducked behind the hill and I spotted an old car and truck beside the road (both were for sale).

We just finished up three days of shooting cat skiing at Island Lake Lodge here in Fernie for the first anual Photography Shootout. Six photographers with three athletes each for three days. My athletes were Jay Bourne, Ryland Nelson and Derek Bird. Prizes were given out each day for best action photo, best scnenic or abstract photo and best athlete performance. Also at the end of the three days was best overall portfolio of the three days and best overall athlete team.
